Los Angeles District Office

1. I-485s filed in November 2002 will be scheduled for interviews after January 2004. No interviews are being scheduled until December 31, 2003 because they are working on backlog reduction of about 25,000 cases that had already been interviewed (some as long ago as October 1998) but that were still pending adjudication.
2. I-765s received on September 5, 2003 are being scheduled for EAD processing on October 14, 2003.
3. I-131s (advance paroles) are taking 3 to 4 weeks to be processed.
4. N-400s are taking 8 to 10 months from date of filing to preliminary interview and 60 to 90 days after the preliminary interview to the oath ceremony.
5. for LIFE Legalization cases: there have been 3,691 interviews, 333 were approved, over 9,000 are pending. Two weeks' notice is given on interviews.

Santa Ana Sub-Office

1. I-485s filed between 02/03/2003 and 03/03/2003 are being scheduled for adjustment interviews for the end of October 2003, with about 3 weeks' notice given.
2. I-765s filed 09/10/2003 are being scheduled for EAD processing on 10/08/2003
3. I-131s filed on 09/08/2003 will have advance paroles ready for pick up on 09/26/2003 and advance parole walk-ins are taking 3 days.
4. N-400s filed in March 2003 are being interviewed at this time.

San Bernardino Sub-Office

1. I-485s are taking about 12 months from date of filing to interview, with 30 days' notice given
2. I-765s are taking about 45 days to be processed
3. I-131s are taking about 30 days to be processed
4. N-400s are taking about 6 months from date of filing to preliminary interview and about 90 days after the preliminary interview to the oath ceremony
